Welcome back to Kane Leersen.

After an 18-year association with Colac, having played 240 senior games, including the Tigers’ historic first GFL premiership in 2014, Kane has returned to coach Birregurra. 

He was a playing coach for three seasons, spent three seasons on Geelong’s VFL list and claimed two premierships during three summers playing with St Mary’s in the Northern Territory Football League.

He returns to Birregurra, where his football began as a nine year old and where he played his junior football before moving to Colac Tigers.

From Kane’s perspective, he is “excited to support the next wave of Birregurra juniors develop their football career.”

After a challenging year in 2022, we believe we can improve rapidly in 2023 with many successful juniors continuing to develop their pedigree at Senior standard.
