Not since 1939 has the world community been challenged as we are now, void of several significant differences: we are not in conflict, we are united and we are not at risk of aggression or hostility from others. While sport takes a short hiatus, our efforts and resources can be better focused on mitigating risk and recovering as soon as possible.
The CDFNL is not immune and as such, Saturdays are our own again until furhter notice. The BFNC will take advantage of this time in what would typically be the season proper to develop a series of mission statements and policy documents to better serve the club moving forward. This will include value statements/ core values and a coaching recruitment policy.
Whilst we anticipated a meeting would occur with all coaches and the committee to develop these important documents, we are now not able to gather as a group so non-contact meetings will take place over the coming months until our season status is confirmed. In the interim, we strongly encourage all netty and footy peeps to maintain peek physical fitness, in a non-group setting, keep in touch via social media, check in on each other and look after your mates. If we kick off in June then we would like to be well placed to go with a truncated season, otherwise, looking forward to a huge 2021 with fresh legs behind us!
The club will maintain social media contact including an amended social calendar, based on health advice, and regardless of an announcement on the season, when cleared to do so, we will coordinate activities for a huge welcome back party at the Guz. Take care and look after each other.
